  3. Hi Katie:
My companion, Carmen, had exactly the same experience you did with hemp milk. She couldn’t even palm it off on Paco, who is ALWAYS enthusiastic about kitchen detritus, dishwasher prewash, and pretty much anything straight from the refrigerator.

Hemp seeds are nothing like hemp “milk.” What little flavor they impart is mildly sweet and nutty. I have added raw hemp seeds to oatmeal (slow cooked over night at about 175) and they are excellent (the overnight method results in creamy, not pasty, oatmeal). The flavor note you picked up on in the Sunshine Burger Breakfast Patty was sage. I’m glad you liked it. Next time try it with a little cranberry sauce (relish or chutney) on a sandwich thin with a little mayo/Veganaise and fresh greens OR, for breakfast, chop it up and add it to sauteed diced red onion, red pepper, and red potatoes for a hearty vegan (and gluten free) hash.

  4. I just wanted to say, I am so proud of you! You have turned into a very beautiful woman and I love that your doing what you love to do. I don’t know if you remember me but I went to high school with you, and I just wanted to say it’s good to see that your doing well not all of our classmates are. lol also I wasn’t sure if anyone invited you to the reunion, so I thought I’d check. Great job again, and I’m gonna try making the dollar store tacos!
