I am not a doctor or dietitian. Views expressed here, whether backed by personal experience or academic research, are my opinion. I hope you will read this blog with a critical eye, challenge me when you think I’m wrong and engage in intelligent, mature discussions when there is dissent. I am not qualified to counsel but when appropriate will give advice as based on my own experiences.
Sweet Tater Blog was monetized in 2011 on the Foodbuzz ad network, and I am paid a set rate per thousand page views. I do not endorse the products advertised in the banner at the top of the page and have found Foodbuzz to be very responsive and respectful when I ask them to remove advertisements for products that I consider to conflict with my message here. My intention is to use revenue generated on the blog for: charitable donations, blog maintenance (design, hosting, etc.), travel to conferences and giveaways. At present, my Sweet Tater revenue is sitting untouched in an online savings account until I figure out what to do with it.
I am happy to accept products for review that fit with my lifestyle and the message of this blog. If you have a product you think I might like, feel free to email firstname.lastname@example.org and I’ll let you know if I’m interested. As my funds allow, I make equivalent donations to charities and food banks to match the free merchandise and food I receive. I follow FTC guidelines for reviews of free merchandise.
